The Best and Lightest cookbook by the editors of Food Network Magazine is chock-full of healthy and delicious recipes. Since receiving this book, I have tried out several recipes. My favorite so far being the Asian Chicken Burgers. Like all of the recipes I have made so far from this cookbook, they are easy to make and full of flavor.
I’ve mentioned several times that I love a cookbook that has a picture for every recipe and this cookbook does not disappoint. The recipe index in the front of the book is a gallery of photos. How amazing is that? Each picture is clearly labeled with the recipe title and whether or not it is vegetarian, vegan and/or gluten free. They also include the calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, fiber and protein per serving for each recipe.
Additionally, in the back of The Best and Lightest they include a page of metric charts which is comprised of useful information when converting cups into weight for different types of ingredients, e.g., fine powder, grain, liquid, etc.
